CEMEX provides 120,000 m3 of concrete and 95,000 tons of cement for Alicante airport expansion in Spain

Date published: May 9, 2011

CEMEX in Spain has supplied 120,000 m3 of concrete and 95,000 tons of cement as part of a five–year supply contract for the new terminal of Alicante airport. From 2006 until this year, the company has provided the equivalent of 20,000 ready–mix trucks for this major project.

Architect Bruce Fairbanks has been in charge of this construction, which makes energy efficiency in all its installations a priority. Thermal insulation is one of the most important factors taken into account for this construction, which makes the highest–quality cement and concrete a must.

CEMEX is constantly aiming to be the supplier of choice for major infrastructure projects around the world. The company’s customers use infrastructure and urban applications to connect communities by means of highways, bridges, airports, and other public works.
